For individuals who were saved in the Glass House, or for groups we are available in other times as well, through previous arrangement via telephone or e-mail.
The organization was established in 2004 and the memorial room was opened in 2005 at 29 Vadas Street. The memorial room was created in order to preserve in a suitable manner the activity of those heroes who rescued Jews in 1944, particularly the Swiss diplomat Carl Lutz and his Zionist associates. The room is open daily from 13:00-16:00 PM. In recent years the room was visited by many local people and by tourists from many parts of the world.
The organization, in 2006, placed a plaque on the face of the building in memory of Carl Lutz which describes his activities on behalf of Hungarian Jews along with the activities of underground Jewish groups. In 2006 with the cooperation of the United States Embassy a memorial sculpture was put on display at 12 Szabadsag ter. The organization acquired 850 copies of the book "Honesty and Courage" by Theo Tschuy which deals with the life of Carl Lutz. These were distributed to a number of schools in Hungary. The organization presented an idea that certain sections of the piers on both sides of the Danube in Budapest be named after those who had rescued Jews. In the wake of great interest which this idea aroused, the organization prepared a mobile exhibition with explanations in English according to the request of American Jews. Upon examining the exhibition the observer gets some idea of the Holocaust's effect on the Jews of Hungary and on the diplomatic efforts made as well as the struggle of the Jews themselves.
The exhibition was displayed on January 27, 2008 in the entrance hall of the United Nations in New York, together with photographs provided by Yad Vashem which show the rescue of Albanian Jews by Moslems in Albania. The exhibition was shown through the month of March. Included was a 64-page catalogue printed in five languages - English, Hebrew, German, French and Hungarian. The locations in the United States where the exhibition was shown were:
January 2008 United Nations center, New York
March 2008 Los Angeles
April 2008 Washington, D.C.
May 2008 Augusta, Georgia
September 2008 - New Brunswick, New Jersey
November 2008 Toronto, Ontario, Canada
